PRELIM TASK: Reader Profile

Please find below, my reader profile for the magazine I am creating.

Hi my name is Kali, I'm 16 years old and I live in Kent. I've just started my first year of sixth form and I'm really excited but also really nervous! At the moment, I'm taking English, French, Business and Art. I really enjoy English but not so much French. Maybe I'll grow to like it!

 I love hanging out with my friends, there's not a day that we're not hanging out. We go shopping whenever we can and watch almost every new movie in the cinema. When we're not out, we usually over at each other's houses just relaxing. 

I don't really enjoy studying - shocker, I know - but I do enough of it so I don't fail. However, I know that can't happen in sixth form, plus I'm taking subjects that I enjoy so I'll be okay. 

My hobbies include reading and shopping with my friends. I used to go swimming but I've stopped now that I've started sixth form so I can focus on my studies. 

Things that are important to me are my friends and family as well as succeeding in school and becoming successful in life.

PRELIM TASK: Initial Ideas

Hiya, I'm Gaya and welcome to my AS Media blog! My job is to create a college magazine
front cover and contents page. I'm quite nervous as I haven't got much experience in making a
professional blog. I don't think Tumblr counts!

The kind of magazine that I'm working towards is an advice one about how to deal with sixth form. I'm calling it 'The Whole Truth' because while your school may give you great advice about sixth form, I feel as though it would be better coming from someone who is going through themselves and can relate. I'll be giving my personal opinions/ideas on matter such as how to do deal with the workload, prioritising the important things and perhaps personal issues. My target audience will be Sixth Form students, specifically Year 12.
